Over the last few days, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of having a fridge absolutely stocked to the brim with the fantastic Chobani yoghurt. And let me tell you, it’s been a great- well, a better word would be delicious- few days at that.
If you’re a new reader or missed it, Chobani was generous and gorgeous enough to send me a big package of yoghurt goodies; as well as a complimentary Chobani apron and mitt to inspire me to get creative in the kitchen! Chobani is a revolutionary company that begun back in 2005, that produces amazing yoghurt products. They begun with the aim of creating great tasting, high-quality yoghurt, which is only made from completely natural ingredients- and boy, did they deliver! Starting in the US, Chobani is now available in the UK, Australia and Canada, and is taking the yoghurt world by storm!
They offer an incredible variety of yoghurt products, and here’s a sneak peak of some of them:
I received two of the 32oz cartons of low-fat plain greek yoghurt, as well as a huge range of the small tubs of flavoured yoghurt.
The flavours I’ve been digging into are: strawberry, peach, mango, pineapple and blueberry; and let me tell you- now that I’ve tried the famous Chobani, there’s no way I’m going back.
Picture all your favourite things about a good yoghurt. And now imagine them all mixed in to form the perfect, best-ever yoghurt- a superyoghurt, if you will.
This is exactly what Chobani boasts. Their yoghurt perfectly creamy and thick, so it feels quite decadent and naughty- but rest assured, it contains nothing but the good stuff: a perfect amount of protein and calcium, as well as the all-important good bacterias for optimal health.
The thing I probably love the most about these products, is the fact that they’re incredibly sweet- but there’s no nasty additives or sweeteners, it’s all natural fruit that does it, and that’s honestly all it needs!
They’re also in a conveniently sized tub, which is absolutely perfect for a go-to filling snack between meals to give you that boost of protein, and they’re also so easy to chuck in your bag on the way to work, school or uni, whatever the day brings, Chobani can easily be brought along for the ride to be enjoyed later.
They’re great to get creative with, and add your all-time favourite toppings to. Some I’ve been enjoying are: nuts, seeds, cinnamon, granola, oats, sliced banana or strawberries… the list is endless. It’s so easy to make a healthy, balanced and delicious brekkie with Chobani!
The 32oz tubs are fantastic to have, as you can use them in all your cooking and baking.
I experimented with using the yoghurt in a baking recipe, which turned out so yummy, I’m going to have to share it with you guys!

Healthy Take on an Old Fave: Banana Bread
The original recipe is from Yummly, but I made a few tweaks here and there 🙂
- 3 bananas (ripe, mashed)
- 1/4 cup low-fat plain Chobani greek yoghurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups plain white or wholemeal flour (I used wholemeal to make it just that extra bit healthier!)
- 2 packets of stevia
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees farrenheit (or 180 degrees celcius)
- Grease a regular sized loaf pan and set aside.
- Mix the bananas with the yoghurt, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl. Combine well.
- Add the flour, stevia, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and chia seeds. Mix well.
- Pour into the preprepared loaf pan, and bake for about 55-65 minutes, or until toothpick comes out of the centre clean.
Try this one out, I’m telling you, it was amazing! And even though it’s a healthy version, it’s as delicious, warm and comforting as the real deal. 🙂
